Senior Gameplay Programmer – Unreal Engine 5

About the Position
As our Gameplay Programmer, you will have the responsibility of dealing with advanced programming tasks in C++, designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining parts of the game code in Unreal Engine 5. You will also be collaborating closely with other developers and game designers in developing game features as well as game development tools for Unreal Engine 5.
The Responsibilities
- Responsibility for code reviews, including providing feedback and coaching other programmers on the project when necessary
- Development of tools and features in Unreal Engine 5
- Advanced programming, related to gameplay features and AI
- Optimization of code, systems, and processes
Your Profile
You have a minimum of 4 years of programming experience within the video games industry working extensively with Unreal Engine and C++. Alternatively, you have worked with C++ and software development in an adjacent or related industry. You also have knowledge of advanced mathematics and algorithms. Apart from your strong technical skills, you will have to be able to communicate efficiently and effectively in both verbal and written English, as well as with a degree of empathy and patience.
What You Need to Have
- Excellent knowledge of C++ coding principles and practices with at least 4 years of professional experience working with Unreal Engine
- Enjoys to, and are good at working with advanced mathematics and algorithms
- Strong multi-threaded programming skills
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written English, as well as communicate with empathy and patience
- Able to prioritize your tasks and are good at problem solving
Practicalities
Location: Offices in Aalborg, Denmark, or remote (with possibility of relocation)
